The Planning Commission can allow taller fences to buffer commercial, industrial, multi-family, or conditional uses. Privacy or solid styles such as board-on-board or stockade aren’t permitted within 20 feet of the front property line. The city’s summary says a solid fence set at least 20 feet back is allowed, but only up to 4 feet.
